Cutting with knives served by their softest care, Served by their love, so barbarously fair. Whose mothers taught: You'd better not be cruel!

You had better not throw stones upon the wrens! Herein they kiss and coddle and assault Anew and dearly in the innocence With which they baffle nature. Who are full, Sleek, tender-clad, fit, fiftyish, a-glow, all Sweetly abortive, hinting at fat fruit, Judge it high time that fiftyish fingers felt Beneath the lovelier planes of enterprise. To resurrect. To moisten with milky chill.

To be a random hitching post or plush. To be, for wet eyes, random and handy hem. Their guild is giving money to the poor. The worthy poor. The very very worthy And beautiful poor.

The theme of the poem The Sonnet-Balladis is war and loss. This poem is about war and loss for it is talking about how they took someones lover away to war and then they died saying that they lost someone they love.

The mood of this poem is sadness and emptyness. This poem is sad for it is talking about how sad the person is that their lover got sent off to war and then they died. This poem also protraits emtyness for the person writing for they were telling us how alone is empty they feel.

This poem doesnt contain alot of imagery but it contains enough to paint a picture in your mind. In this poem, they use words such as, war and tallness to help you imagine the senario that is occurring but, they arent very specific as to what the writer wants you to imagine.

I believe that line portraits strong imagery for it really paints a picture in my head of a extremely devastated and lonely person, for it is physically describing their own heart as empty and as if they could never love again because of how empty it is. You are commenting using your WordPress.

According to the text, Edna struggles to find her purpose in this society which seems to be holding her back. Throughout the novel, Edna awakens to her purpose in life to only realize she is not strong enough to push forward so she commits suicide in order to avoid facing the failure of her own expectations. She was not happy in her relationship or in her position as a mother.

Divine law vs. The theme divine law vs. The speaker of the poem repeatedly asks their mother where happiness is. Through the mood of the poem, readers could identify its central themes and loss is one of them. Ironically and paradoxically, nevertheless, once they make such sacrifices, true happiness gradually becomes less attainable. However, in that case, how much is the idyllic family view worth, and can it realistically exist?
